„Thinking is not more important than feeling. Our feelings do not stubbornly resist our rational brain.

We act when both our thinking and our feeling report: "This is right“."

Belly

Heart

Head

The three important places of change: Belly, heart and head.

When people want to take action, make decisions or initiate change, we sometimes think completely rationally, making a pro-contra list or looking for reliable numbers and statistics. Other times, however, we make decisions based entirely on gut feelings. Although we have an organ called the brain, there are different "intelligence centers" involved in our decision-making and actions.

We essentially distinguish three centers: the brain stem (reptilian brain), the limbic system and the so-called neocortex. Or figuratively: belly, heart and head. Importantly, each center is associated with a different perspective or different quality from which we can view a subject. And interestingly, most people prefer one of the three sources and use a second as a back-up, whereas the third is more of a dormant resource. This often limits our scope for decision-making and action.

As a coach and consultant, I work with my clients to find out on which experienced or learned patterns most of your decisions are made. How does the client "make it" that a desired change has not been successful so far (stagnation) and what does it take for his patterns to be recognized and used in a positive sense - that is, for change to become possible all at once?

Whether in a private or professional context: I support you in developing an awareness of your three important centers of change. Let's get to know your three centers and experiment with them all. To do this, I look with unbiased curiosity at your belly, heart and head. Together we will find out which center is usually "in charge" with you and which one is not (yet?). "We act when both our thinking and our feeling report "This is right"." I look forward to accompanying you on your journey!
